Bredon's prcd Mutation Test for PRA results came back. Great news he is clear! Now for some folks, just like myself, they may not be familiar with this genetic defect which when infected causes blindness. The test was done by OptiGen LLC. I was invited by the breeder to submit Bredon's DNA to the Golden Retriever Club in Wisconsin even though I am in North Carolina. The club was sponsoring the test which enabled me to get a discount for the testing.
It has been a year since we got our perfect Golden, Bredon, and can not thank the breeder enough for educating me and helping me. Even though she is in Wisconsin she takes the time to answer questions and boy have I had questions. :o)
